A little update for our community 🙌

Bravery is a word that has become synonymous with Ukraine, and its people are strong. We see examples in Care.Shelters every day. The people and families in Care.Shelters continue to do amazing things! Many have lost their homes, some of them lost their family members, but they don’t give up on having a better future. Despite their situation they live their everyday lives with as much normalcy as they can. With just some simple everyday items and equipment that many of us take for granted such as power banks, lanterns, clothes dryers, etc., they continue to succeed with new achievements, ideas, and success stories. And we're proud to be a part of it! We are grateful for our partner Rotary Erasme who have helped tremendously in bringing positivity and aid to Ukraine and Care.Shelters!

How Blockchain Offers a Secure and Transparent Platform for Vital Records Our very own William Crawford recently spoke on the subject of using private and public keys in blockchain for healthcare use at the “Web3, Smart Cities and Digital Assets for State and Local Governance” event. ​Introducing Multi-faceted Care.Cards: The New Primitive for Building Web3 Apps We are extremely excited to announce the multi-faceted Care.Card, the new primitive for building Web3 apps for healthcare and other industries! Care.Cards have been dramatically enhanced to handle both shareable information and private information, as well as allowing for interoperability of data between cards. Care.Cards can now be owned in a way similar to ownership of an NFT. However, our latest tech is much smarter as they can handle data, logic, consent, and permissions. This new innovation is secure, can be exchanged between wallets and is programmable. Care.Cards are auditable and can also serve as a legal vehicle for delegating and giving consent. This means when you are moving applications between wallets, you can move data, assets, logic, consent, and authority. This is a revolutionary concept that addresses all the fundamental problems of data ownership, data sharing, data privacy, interoperability, and auditability. A big insurance company or hospital group can build a complex network application using Care.Cards as the primitive. These applications can connect people to networks and solve complex problems in healthcare like care coordination, payment coordination, and benefit administration. This is a whole new paradigm for building decentralized applications for healthcare and other industries that combines the power of decentralized data. It also makes each participant truly independent and sovereign in terms of control of their data, identity, assets, and authority. For Ukrainians who have been displaced by the war that started at the beginning of spring last year without warm clothes and necessary goods, such a winter becomes hard to bear. ​​The Story Behind the Citizen Home.Card By Vika Ovsiannikova, Delivery Team Lead We received news that the company was planning to announce the kick-off of authoring sessions for the Definitize community. And my team and I were tasked to design the Definitize Home.Card to present to the community. We went immediately into action, planning, coming up with the most intuitive interface that was simple, clean, and functional. It was a task we took seriously as we had the responsibility to create a Home.Card that needed to reflect Definitize’s status as a DAO 2.0. A DAO that was citizen friendly, where you don’t need to code to create dApps, where you don’t need Metamask or any other wallet. We wanted to create a Home.Card that reflected the best practices of the real world. And I am proud of my team for what we have authored. The Delivery Team is super excited at the prospect of authoring the many journeys needed for the Definitize Network. ​Milestone 2: Game on! Citizen Authoring for Definitize Kicks off! 🏈 Community initiative to author first DeFi Care.Network on Care.Platform has begun. Definitize is an autonomous, community led, governed, financed, and managed organization. It is a new kind of DAO that addresses real world needs of patients, doctors, organizations and communities to improve healthcare. Read the lightpaper, whitepaper, or draft constitution to find out why it is unlike anything else. 🔥 With the recent creation of authoring pods, we can now kick off community workshops to help the community get definitize up and running. 🗞Solve.Care in the News: Care.School in Drohobych During the recent launch of our 3rd Care.School, in Drohobych, Western Ukraine, we had some amazing guests who have helped add to the celebration of the event. We were honored to have both the mayor and head of education for the city in attendance. It’s truly amazing to be able to be a part of the city’s push towards a better future and global education for their children. The Drohobych City Council has announced the new Care.School in their city in their official news portal and we have already been contacted by numerous parents enquiring how to enroll children into this global educational program. Now, more students upon graduation from Care.Schools will receive their high school diplomas from both Ukraine and Canada (Ontario Secondary School Diploma), enabling them to further their university education in western English-speaking countries around the world.
